Responsible Supply Chain Management
We have now further optimised our well-known, tried-and-tested fabric that has been on the market for more than 12 years.
The 592A Verdi fabric is a yarn-dyed satin. The design is 2-tone with narrow stripes that are classic because they create a uniform surface, and yet conceptually innovative, because it is possible to have designs with two different colors combined. Using white as one of these creates the possibility of bed linen with a different front and reverse – a distinctive and attractive detail, which creates a modern look.
Both sides of the product can be used, and the two-tone design in satin weave that it is also reversible is quite unique. This retains the attractive appearance for longer – and handling is easier for the customer.
The product is soft and luxurious. A comfortable product chosen by the hotel sector and the care sector alike because it is classic but also matches a modern interior.
The ideal ambience
Beirholm’s emphasis has been on classic, elegant and flexible features. The choice of the colours White, Dust and Amber was based on the requirement to be able to match different types of styles, and to create simple but effective types of styling so that the fresh, inviting bed upgrades the whole room and creates ambience.
Textiles can work wonders
Used creatively, textiles can work wonders! With Verdi and other Beirholm textiles, customers can easily create the ambience and environments they want in order to project their image to end-users in an individual way. And vary the desired look quickly according to the time of year, season, etc., by changing the styling.
The Verdi design fits naturally into several different environments. From ultra-modern – to traditional – and all the way to pure classic.
Operational-fit products for crucial profitability in laundering
We have further developed our renowned fabric made of BeirTex® yarns to make it even more operational-fit and market-fit. With BeirTex® yarns, most of the cotton fibres are spun on the outside, around a polyester core, ensuring that the “feel-good” sensation of cotton preferred by end-users is as convincing as in cotton products. To optimise the production flow, we have adjusted the construction of the fabric to reduce the weight to the same level as our other hotel fabrics. At the same time, the laundry saves on overheads, as the new product is lighter, with low susceptibility to pilling and it retains a superb, attractive finish throughout the product’s life cycle.
The products are designed for industrial laundering and manufactured at the very best, state-of-the-art production facilities. The result is improved shape retention and thus reduced shrinkage, which we exploit when establi-shing sizes, because the measurements after laundering are what count!
In purely visual terms, fading is greatly reduced with Verdi, because we use the best chemicals for the dyes, and the design is woven using two colors, which reduces the perceived amount of fading considerably compared to a solid dyed. A textile with twice the service life of pure cotton – so there is less need to replenish and the life cycle cost is obviously lower.
Poor seams can be the product’s weakest link, leading to premature rejection. Our seams are optimised by the use of quality sewing thread, and the products are also bar-tacked and free of tension. This ensures an attractive finish and maximum durability – a skilfully finished product, ideal for industrial processing in a modern, professional laundry.
Profitability, sustainability, the environment and ethics go hand in hand …….. at no extra cost
Cotton farming is the most polluting form of farming on this planet. That is why we use BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton in our BeirTex® yarns, so the product you get is far more sustainable and ethically produced.
Moreover, BeirTex® bed linen is manufactured in compliance with the strict requirements of the EU Ecolabel. The EU Ecolabel ensures that only fibres produced in the most eco-friendly way are used. There are strict requirements regulating all chemicals used in the production process. There are requirements concerning waste water from for instance dyeing plants, and there are requirements regulating the quality of the finished product.
Finally, our BeirTex® products are certified to Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 „Confidence in Textiles“, Product Class 1, which is the strictest classification you can achieve, as it is intended for babies and children up to age 3.
We have developed all our BeirTex® products with BCI cotton and conform to the EU Ecolabel and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100, so we are able to deliver the same price level as for conventional manufacturing.
BeirTex® products with BCI cotton, EU Ecolabel and Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certification are ground-breaking textiles that are sure to change many people’s idea of the use of polyester in bed linen. This fabric offers a previously unparalleled combination of three top benefits: maximum comfort, the lowest processing costs and a high level of sustainability.
A clear benefit to the environment – and the bottom line
Verdi enables the laundry to optimize the consumption of water and energy and thus reduce carbon emissions. The fact that these textiles are so quick to dry, roll and handle efficiently in the laundry helps profitability and the environment.
Overall, the Verdi bed linen has low running costs, ensuring continuous large-scale operation and money on the bottom line, while the laundry’s customers are also able to offer additional strong, individual solutions to their end-users in the future.
