Torino is a modern, rustic design in a minimalist uni pattern in the familiar, dust-free BeirTex® quality. The design can be easily incorporated into classic, traditional or modern environments and it is widely used among laundry customers due to its simple pattern and the range’s elegant colours: White, Cream, Cord and Midnight.
Torino looks great as a stand-alone design, but is also designed to be included with design ranges Dijon and Copenhagen as a complete concept offering flexibility and striking contrasts with beautiful, complementary, coordinated colours. It combines rustic with fine, glossy, satiny finishes. Individually or combined, they provide beautiful and interesting table settings to set the scene in the restaurant and enhance the dining experience.
Because it is mainly cotton, which is on the outside of the product, the tablecloth has that coveted feel, while it also absorbs starch easily for a perfect result. As this is a dustfree product, too, it is the ultimate textile experience for the customer.
The whole Torino range is delivered with seams on four sides with beautiful interlocking stitching comprising only two layers in the corners, which helps to ensure a long service life. Torino has been developed to meet restaurants’ needs for all sizes of tablecloths.
Coloured industrial textiles can often present problems. Many will no doubt recognise the “zebra effect” from textiles stacked in the laundry’s pallet cages. With that in mind, we developed Torino as a two-colour solution. In purely visual terms, fading
is greatly reduced with Torino, because we use the best chemicals for the dyes, which reduces the perceived amount of fading considerably compared to a self-coloured textile.
Manufacturing the products
The products are manufactured in the most modern and technologically optimised facilities designed for industrial laundering – which, among other things, translates into improved shape retention. We have selected a default 50 x 53 cm napkin size with a view to achieving a square napkin after washing.
Profitability, sustainability, the environment and ethics go hand in hand ... at no extra cost
Using conventional methods, cotton cultivation is the most polluting form of farming on this planet. To ensure far better sustainability and an ethically sound product, Beirholm has therefore chosen to use BCI cotton – Better Cotton Initiative – in all our BeirTex® yarns.
Furthermore, BeirTex® table linen is manufactured in accordance with the strict requirements of the EU Ecolabel. This ensures that only fibres produced in the most eco-friendly way are used. There are special requirements concerning the chemicals used in production – and concerning waste water from dye-works, etc. Moreover, the quality of the finished product has to comply with a number of standards.
To sum up: all BeirTex® products conform to Oeko-Tex® 100 Class I certification, which is the strictest classification possible, as it is intended for babies and children up to age 3.
All in all, ground-breaking textiles are certain to change how people perceive the use of polyester in table linen – because they combine the three primary textile benefits: maximum comfort, minimised operational costs and excellent sustainability. And to make this even more appealing, the price level is the same as for conventional Beirholm-produced textiles in the market.
