Responsible Supply Chain Management
This design series, which is one of the modules in Beirholm’s full-service concept for Bed, Table and Bath, has been created using BeirTex® 631 fabric which is highly durable and cost-effective in terms of laundering.
Market-fit products which help enhance the room’s ambience
The new designs, which may be mixed and matched as required, offer endless variety when it comes to style: from the maritime and exclusive to the young, joyful look; from the streamlined, classic look to floral with a summer atmosphere and cheerful optimism – and to a comfortable, caring look with the look and feel of a fresh, homely atmosphere.
The colours of the yarn-dyed Mandolin and Soprano designs last because we use the best possible dyes and formulas. In addition, the mélange appearance of the Soprano design and the stripes in Mandolin mean that there is no real visual colour change.
The Fiori and Piccolo designs, with printed flower patterns, may be boil-washed but must not be bleached.
The Piccobello concept is available in the following designs:
Soprano: 1 colour in mélange shade
Mandolin: Striped in 3 colour variations
Piccolo: White with coloured floral designs
Fiori: White with solid colour floral designs
Operational-fit products for crucial profitability in laundering
The products are designed for industrial laundering and manufactured at the very best, state-of-the-art production facilities. The result is improved shape retention and thus reduced shrinkage, which we exploit when establishing sizes, because the measurements after laundering are what count!
Poor seams can be the product’s weakest link, leading to premature rejection. Our seams are optimised by the use of quality sewing thread, and the products are also bar-tacked and free of tension. This ensures an attractive finish and maximum durability – a skilfully finished product, ideal for industrial processing in a modern, professional laundry.
Both Mandolin and Soprano are fully reversible. This makes handling easier and faster for both the customer and the laundry, and means that the fabric retains its beautiful appearance for longer. Sorting is minimised at the laundry as you can choose a single pillow design, for instance, to match all bed linen designs.
A great many advantages from this design series derive from the low 130 g/m2 weight. First and foremost, more sets may be washed at a time. Secondly, drying time is shortened and roller speed is increased. Finally, packing and shipping become more profitable: quite simply, more sets will fit in a container and they are therefore much lighter to handle. The fact that polyester/cotton products are also easier to separate since they “cling” less than pure cotton products is an improvement for the working environment, too.
We have also focused on reprocessing rates, and it is important in this respect that the patterns and colours are less sensitive to stains and colour changes. All in all, the design series offers a lucrative solution guaranteed to give laundries satisfied customers, happy end-users and a sound return on their investment.
Profitability, sustainability, environment and ethics go hand in hand…….. at no extra cost
The Piccobello concept uses ground-breaking BeirTex® yarns, with technology that makes it possible to spin most of the cotton fibres on the outside of a polyester core, ensuring that the “feel-good” sensation of cotton preferred by end-users is as convincing as in cotton products. At the same time, the laundry saves on overheads, as the new product is less susceptible to pilling and retains a superb, attractive finish throughout the product’s life cycle.
Cotton farming is the most polluting form of farming on this planet. That is why we use BCI (Better Cotton Initiative) cotton in our BeirTex® yarns, so the product you get is far more sustainable and ethically produced.
Moreover, BeirTex® bed linen is manufactured in compliance with the strict requirements of the EU Eco-label. The EU Eco-label ensures that only fibres produced in the most eco-friendly way are used. There are strict requirements regulating all chemicals used in the production process. There are requirements concerning waste water from dye-works, and there are requirements regulating the quality of the finished product.
Finally, our BeirTex® products are certified to Oeko-Tex® 100 “Confidence in Textiles”, Class 1, which is the strictest classification you can achieve, as it is intended for babies and children up to age 3.
