Responsible Supply Chain Management
More and more laundries are choosing to switch to jersey sheets, a genuine value-for-money product which at the same time offers more favourable running costs in the laundry, time-saving for customers thanks to the exceptional fit, and a high level of comfort for end-users.
A well-known problem in the market is that the fit may not be as good because the jersey sheet does not fully cover the length of the mattress or the size is so skimpy that it is not compatible with adjustable beds. Beirholm has dealt with this by developing sheets that are a little larger and also have stronger, higher-quality elastic. This brings to the range the added advantage that a single sheet size now caters for the majority of customers.
The recommended form of delivery to customers is in a container or sacks. An added rationalisation benefit here is that the product can simply be weighed, with no need to count the number of individual items.
Jersey sheets are for all-round use – robust and stable. They are used in the healthcare and hospital sector and in hotels. They are comfortable and soft to lie on. They also look nice and clean, and the staff save time when making the beds.
Quality 558 – Interlock
Quality 558 Interlock jersey can best be described as two products knit simultaneously together. The smooth, even and denser knit of interlock provides many benefits. The sheets are fully reversible, and the surface is denser, providing minimal transparency. Dimensional stability is increased and shrinkage is reduced. There is greater elasticity – and the risk of snags and holes is reduced.
